Welcome to Kigali International Airport! Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to the Cyanika border post, where you’ll cross into Uganda and continue to Kisoro, a charming town near Mgahinga National Park. Spend the night in Kisoro, preparing for the next day’s adventure: golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga! Then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. From Bwindi, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll enjoy a thrilling game drive.

We'll pick you up from either your hotel in Kigali or Kigali Airport (before 12 pm) and welcome you with a professional English-speaking tour driver-guide.  Together, we'll embark on a scenic transfer to the Cyanika Border Post, where you'll be warmly received by our Uganda-based expert tour driver-guide. After crossing the border into Uganda, you'll stay overnight at a facility near Mgahinga National Park, preparing for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience the next day.
Uganda is a primate paradise, and on this tailor-made holiday and tour, the golden monkeys are a must-see! With their stunning appearance, they stand out from other monkey species.  Found in the majestic Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, part of the Virunga Mountains, these enchanting creatures await your visit.  This morning, we will embark on a scenic drive to the Mgahinga NP ranger's post, where we'll receive a comprehensive briefing before a knowledgeable ranger-guide leads us into the lush Mgahinga Forest to encounter these captivating golden monkeys. Once we locate them, you'll have an unforgettable hour in their presence, mesmerised by their charm. You will then transfer to your accommodation at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will prepare for an exciting gorilla trekking adventure the next day
Today is a highlight day on your tailor-made holiday and tour!  Start with breakfast, then head to the rangers' post for a comprehensive briefing from a ranger-guide on the essential guidelines and rules for gorilla trekking. With this expert insight, venture into the breathtaking rainforest, where the stunning scenery and dramatic landscape will leave you in awe. The dense forest, crisscrossed by animal trails that offer access to tourists.  The trek duration (4-8 hours) and terrain vary depending on the movements of the majestic gorillas. Once you've located a gorilla group, you'll have the privilege of spending an unforgettable hour in their presence, observing these gentle yet endangered giants.  After the trek, return to your accommodation to rest.  Optional (additional cost): If you finish early and are eager for more, ask your guide to arrange a community visit or a short nature walk along the forest trails.
Rise early, enjoy breakfast, and embark on a scenic transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its unique tree-climbing lions.  Upon arrival, venture into a thrilling game drive in search of these elusive lions. With a 60-70% success rate, you may be lucky enough to spot them, although they can be challenging to find, especially when hunting in the grasslands. If you do spot them lounging in the trees, the sight is truly breathtaking.  Afterward, exit the south sector and head to your booked accommodation in the north sector, where you can check in and take a well-deserved rest. Optional: If you're interested, consider a late afternoon-to-evening game drive/safari in the Kasenyi plains, offering another chance to explore the park's diverse wildlife.
Today's adventure on your tailor-made holiday and tour offers you a safari experience!  Start with an early breakfast, then head out on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you'll search for an array of wildlife, including Cape buffalos, elephant herds, lions, leopards (though elusive), and many more.  After a thrilling morning, return to your accommodation for a relaxing break and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. This scenic journey will treat you to breathtaking sights of giant hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and numerous bird species along the water's edge.  *After the boat trip, you have the flexibility to either return to the lodge for some rest or embark on a brief late afternoon game drive before heading back to the lodge.
As we approach the final stretch of our tailor-made holiday and tour, our next stop is the charming Lake Mburo National Park.  Begin with a leisurely breakfast, then set off to this hidden gem, conveniently located along the highway connecting Entebbe/Kampala to western Uganda's parks.  Despite being the smallest savannah national park, Lake Mburo is a treasure trove of biodiversity, hosting numerous bird species and an array of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard.  Upon arrival, take some time to rest and unwind before embarking on a late afternoon-to-evening game drive, offering an intimate encounter with the park's inhabitants.  Finally, return to the lodge for a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.  Optional (additional cost $30 per person): For those interested, consider a night game drive to spot nocturnal creatures, a rare and thrilling experience that differs from traditional daytime sightings.
Start your day with an early breakfast, then embark on a morning park walk in Lake Mburo National Park, accompanied by an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. This guided walk offers a unique chance to encounter zebras, giraffes, elands, topi, antelopes, and Cape buffaloes, up close and personal.  After this thrilling experience, return to your accommodation for checkout and then depart for Entebbe Airport, where you'll catch your flight (from 17:30 hrs or later) marking the end of this tailor-made holiday and tour. Expect to stop at the iconic Equator crossing in Kayabwe, where you can capture memorable photos and cherish the moment in the Pearl of Africa.
