Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, complete the necessary formalities and meet your assigned Tour Driver-guide, who will warmly welcome you to Rwanda. Then, board your comfortable vehicle and transfer to your pre-booked hotel, where you can check in, relax, and recharge after your journey. Take some time to unwind, and adjust to your new surroundings.
Our journey begins with a visit to Nyungwe National Park, but first, let's explore Kigali City. After breakfast, your assigned Tour Driver-guide will pick you up and take you on a fascinating city tour. Depending on your interest, you may visit the national museum, vibrant local markets, art and craft shops, the genocide memorial ground.Â
Then, head to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a stunning natural wonder in southwestern Rwanda. This forest is home to a diverse array of primates, including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, and many more.Â
On Day 3 of our Rwanda and Uganda adventure, we'll venture into the heart of Nyungwe Forest National Park to encounter our closest living relatives in the wild - the captivating chimpanzees. With a population of approximately 400 chips, chimpanzee trekking is a thrilling experience not to be missed!Â
After breakfast, we'll transfer to the trekking point, where we'll receive essential guidance on the dos and don'ts of chimpanzee trekking. Then, we'll immerse ourselves in the forest, coming face-to-face with these intelligent and human-like primates in their natural habitat.Â
After lunch and a brief rest, we'll embark on the exhilarating canopy walk experience. This two-hour adventure begins and ends at the Uwinka Information Center(Park’s headquarters), taking us on a suspended trail 60 meters above the forest floor. From this unique vantage point, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the national park, surrounding communities, the Virunga volcanoes, and even neighboring countries - a truly unforgettable experience!
Start your day with breakfast at your accommodation, then embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, located in northwestern Rwanda. This magnificent park borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda.Â
Upon arrival, check-in to your pre-booked accommodation and unwind. You have the option to either relax and prepare for the next day's adventure or engage in some exciting activities.Â

Today, we continue our thrilling primate adventure on this Rwanda and Uganda tour! Get ready to encounter the majestic golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. As an endangered species, trekking these habituated groups is a rare privilege.Â
We begin with a brief orientation from the park ranger at the RDB Office, followed by an immersive trek through the lush rainforest of Volcanoes NP. After an exhilarating morning, return to your accommodation for a short rest and lunch.
 In the afternoon, we'll depart for the Cyanika Border Post, where our Uganda-based expert Tour Driver-guide will warmly welcome you and take over from our Rwanda-based counterpart. Cross the border into Uganda and unwind at a cozy facility near Bwindi National Park, preparing for tomorrow's gorilla trekking experience.
The long awaited day is here! Have breakfast, then head to the rangers' post for a comprehensive briefing from a seasoned ranger-guide on the essential dos and don'ts of gorilla trekking. With that, venture into the breathtaking rainforest, ready for an unforgettable adventure.Â
The forest's stunning beauty will leave you in awe, with its dramatic, steeply forested landscape and numerous animal trails crisscrossing the dense forest allowing access to tourists. The trek duration (4-8 hours) and terrain vary depending on the movements of these magnificent primates. Once we locate a gorilla group, we'll spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants.Â
Return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest. If you're feeling energized and finished early, consider an optional community visit or short nature walk (at an additional cost) to further immerse yourself in the local culture and natural beauty.
Rise early, enjoy breakfast, and set off on a thrilling transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its remarkable tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, embark on an exciting game drive in pursuit of these elusive lions. With a 60-70% chance of spotting them, keep an eye out for a glimpse of these majestic creatures lazing in the trees. If you're lucky enough to spot them, the sight is truly breathtaking and unforgettable.Â
Afterward, exit Ishasha and head to your booked accommodation in the north sector. If you're eager for more, consider an optional late afternoon-to-evening game drive/safari in the Kasenyi plains, where you might catch a glimpse of more incredible wildlife
Today's the day for the Big 5 experience on this Rwanda and Uganda tour! Start with an early breakfast, then head out on a thrilling morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Keep on the lookout for the majestic Cape buffalos, majestic elephant herds, lions, leopards (though they can be elusive), and more.Â
After an action-packed morning, return to your accommodation for some well-deserved rest and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing 2-hour boat trip along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. Be mesmerized by the diverse wildlife, including giant hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and numerous bird species along the water's edge.Â
After the boat trip, you can choose to either return to the lodge for some rest or continue to a brief late afternoon game drive before returning to the lodge to unwind.

Start the day with an early breakfast, then embark on a final morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, searching for the majestic Cape buffalos, elephant herds, lions, leopards, and other incredible species. After a fulfilling encounter, we'll depart for Kibale, arriving at our accommodation on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park.Â
Enjoy lunch and some rest time at this facility before exploring the vibrant Bigodi Wetland, renowned for its rich biodiversity, including various primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and baboons. This haven is also a birdwatcher's paradise! After a wonderful time in Bigodi, return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Our Rwanda and Uganda tour package continues with a thrilling journey to Murchison Falls National Park! After breakfast, check out and embark on a scenic drive to Uganda's largest national park, renowned for its rolling plains, roaring rapids, and diverse wildlife. Be on the lookout for majestic lions, leopards, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants, among others.Â

Start off early(around 6am). Moroto, a charming town nestled at the foot of Mt. Moroto and surrounded by vast savannah plains. Our visit to this picturesque town brings us closer to two of Uganda's most indigenous tribes - the Karamojong and the Tepeth.Â
We anticipate arriving around 12 or 1 pm, followed by check-in at the camp and a satisfying lunch. Afterward, we'll embark on a fascinating visit to the Tepeth tribe, a community of hunter-gatherers who were the original inhabitants of Karamoja land. With the arrival of the nomadic pastoral Karamojong, they migrated to the highlands, where they still reside today.Â
This encounter promises to be an enlightening experience, offering a glimpse into their traditional way of life. It's a truly unique and enriching experience on this Rwanda and Uganda safari.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast, then collect your packed lunch box(es) and embark on a scenic drive to the stunning Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve.
