This spectacular wildebeest migration is one of the most awe-inspiring sights on an African safari and can be witnessed in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to the huge herds of wildebeest, the Masai Mara Game Reserve is also home to the highly sought-after African Big Five: buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, and elephants. Tour Plan
Your guide will pick you up from the airport, hotel, or your residence for the drive to Masai Mara. Journey through the lands of Kenya’s cattle-herding Maasai nomads, who are dedicated to maintaining their traditional way of life. Arrive at the reserve in time for lunch. Later, enjoy an evening game drive as the sun sets.
Return for dinner and overnight at a booked hotel.
Breakfast will be served at the lodge, after which you will proceed to the Masai Mara Reserve for game drives in search of wildlife. You may choose to embark on a full-day game drive experience within the reserve, with packed lunch boxes, or opt for a morning game drive followed by a lunch break and an evening game drive. In the evening, you also have the option to visit a local Masai village for an enriching cultural tour experience.
Return for dinner and an overnight stay at a booked Lodge.
Begin your day with breakfast at the lodge before embarking on a game drive to the expansive Masai Mara, where you will witness the dynamic interplay between predators and prey throughout the day. Take time to savor the wilderness and capture its dramatic moments. Additionally, you have the option to enhance your safari experience with a hot air balloon ride, particularly in the morning. This choice depends on your preferences.
Return to lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
On the final day of the safari, enjoy an early morning breakfast before embarking on the drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, have lunch, and subsequently continue your journey to your residence or chosen drop-off point.
