Despite being the smallest savannah national park, Mburo boasts an impressive array of wildlife, including 350 bird species, giraffes, zebras, Impalas, and more. Upon arrival, we'll check in and, if time allows, embark on a thrilling late-afternoon game drive. Alternatively, we'll unwind with a relaxing evening at leisure.
Start your day in Uganda with an early breakfast, then embark on a thrilling morning game drive in the park. Keep an eye out for an impressive array of savannah wildlife, including majestic Eland Antelopes, abundant Zebras, Topi, Impalas, Buffaloes, and many more. Alternatively, opt for a guided morning bush walk (additional fee of USD 30 per person) accompanied by an armed ranger guide. Afterward, return to your accommodation, check out, and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a vast habitat for over 300 mountain gorillas - roughly half of the world's population. Upon arrival, take it easy and unwind at your accommodation, preparing yourself for the unforgettable Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Begin the day with breakfast, then head to the rangers' post for a comprehensive briefing from a knowledgeable ranger guide on the essential guidelines for trekking. This will prepare you for the pinnacle of your Ugandan adventure! Next, venture into the breathtaking Bwindi Forest, renowned for its stunning rainforest landscape, steep terrain, and rich density. The trek's duration and terrain will vary depending on the movements of the magnificent mountain gorillas. Once you've located a gorilla group, you'll have the privilege of spending an unforgettable hour in their presence.
