Tour Plan
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport and begin the journey along Masaka Road. The first stop will be at the Uganda Equator, where you can witness the imaginary line dividing the world into two equal halves. Here, you can stand in both the northern and southern hemispheres simultaneously and take memorable photos. Continue the journey with several stopovers at interesting spots along the way.
Upon entering Lake Mburo National Park, you will check in at the lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, bringing you face to face with the diverse flora and fauna of this destination. Along the lake's banks, you'll see many animals coming to drink water, including hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, and three types of otters. You will also encounter a variety of birds such as malachite kingfishers, African fish eagles, blue-headed weavers, rufous long-tailed starlings, pied kingfishers, hammerkops, herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill, and cormorants.
Return to the lodge for an evening game drive, where you may spot unique wildlife like leopards, bush babies, and porcupines. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Begin your day with an early morning breakfast before embarking on a game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. The park boasts an abundance of wildlife and bird species. Expect to see elands, leopards, lions, antelopes, buffaloes, giraffes, topis, warthogs, zebras, waterbucks, impalas, and many bird species. Along the way, you will also enjoy the beautiful sceneries, parent rocks, and savannah landscapes.
After the game drive, return to the hotel for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, set off for a horse riding safari. This unique experience allows you to get close to animals and nature without the noise of a car engine. It's an extraordinary feeling as animals like zebras and elands tend to come closer, curious about your presence.
