Tour Plan
Upon your arrival at Juba International Airport, you will be transferred to your booked hotel for lunch. After checking in, enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to relax. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits before you settle in for the night.
Depart from your hotel in the city and travel directly to the Dinka villages for a deep cultural exploration. There, you will encounter some of the tallest people in the world, whose striking height and pitch-black skin are a true expression of beauty. Take part in their daily rituals as they set up cattle camps along the banks of the River Nile. Immerse yourself in their traditional songs and dances, and observe as they massage and milk their beloved herds. As the sun sets, enjoy dinner before settling into your camp near the cattle camps for the night.
As the morning sun rises, enjoy a delicious breakfast with the Dinka community before bidding them farewell. Embark on a scenic 3-hour journey to meet the Mundari, renowned as some of South Sudan’s most distinctive cattle herders. Upon arrival, settle in and relax over a well-deserved lunch.
Later in the afternoon, the cattle return from their grazing pastures, greeted by the rhythmic beat of drums and the energy of traditional songs and dances. Watch in fascination as the Mundari gently massage their cattle and prepare them for milking, while others gather dry dung to burn.
As the sun sets, the air fills with the soft haze of burning dung—a natural repellent that clears the evening air of flies and mosquitoes. After dinner, settle into camp near the heart of the Mundari cattle camps and rest under the stars.
Dawn breaks on your final morning in Mundari territory. After breakfast, witness the tribe’s distinctive milking rituals, including the unique practice of stimulating the cows to increase milk production—a herding tradition rarely seen outside this region. Capture your last photographs with the Mundari people before signing out and beginning your journey back.
Drive to Juba, the capital, and check into your hotel for a well-deserved lunch. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon before transferring to the airport in the evening, arriving in time for your departure flight.
