Thanks to this remarkable effort, visitors on this tour can now encounter these incredible creatures up close. Upon arrival, we'll venture out on an exhilarating hour-long rhino-tracking adventure on foot.
Next, we'll head to Masindi for a lunch stop. Afterward, we'll continue our journey to Murchison Falls National Park, where we'll spend the night at our booked accommodation. You have the flexibility to choose between two options:
- Begin with a thrilling game drive, exploring the park's diverse wildlife, and then proceed to the accommodation.
- Head straight to the accommodation, check-in, and spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
The choice is yours!
Our adventure continues with a thrilling full-day game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife population. The park is home to an abundance of species, including buffalos, Jackson hartebeests, elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, and many more. These incredible creatures roam freely across the savannah grasslands, making for an unforgettable game-viewing experience.
To maximize our time in the park, we'll enjoy a hot lunch at Red Chilli, avoiding the long drive back to the lodge. After lunch, we'll embark on the second leg of our game drive, exploring more of the park's stunning landscape.
Optional (additional cost $30 per person): Consider adding an exhilarating 11am boat trip upstream towards the falls, offering breathtaking views and the opportunity to hike (additional $25 per person) to the top of the falls. Along the banks, keep an eye out for hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
After a fulfilling day, we'll return to the lodge to freshen up and relax, awaiting dinner and our overnight stay.
Following breakfast, we'll drive to the top of Murchison Falls, where we'll marvel at the breathtaking beauty and majesty of the falls. This stunning viewpoint offers an unforgettable experience. Next, we'll embark on a scenic transfer to the edge of Kibale Forest National Park, our home for the night. Although the drive is long, it's incredibly picturesque, passing through charming villages, lush green landscapes, and rolling hills dotted with tea plantations, showcasing the best of Uganda's scenery.
Upon arrival at our accommodation, we'll check in and unwind, enjoying some well-deserved relaxation time. Optional (additional cost): If you're interested, consider adding an excursion to explore the crater lakes, where you'll discover numerous small lakes nestled among gentle hills, offering breathtaking views and serene beauty. The moment we've been waiting for has finally arrived - the pinnacle of our tailor-made safari! This encounter with these gentle yet endangered giants will leave you with lifelong memories.
