Start your day with a morning pickup from Entebbe and embark on a scenic transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, renowned as Uganda's most stunning lake, boasting 29 picturesque islands and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. As the second-deepest lake in Africa, Lake Bunyonyi offers breathtaking views.
En route, make a fascinating stop at the Equator, a unique geographical landmark. After this incredible experience, we'll head to our accommodation on the edge of Bwindi National Park, our base for tomorrow's thrilling gorilla trekking adventure.
After breakfast, we'll head to the rangers' post for a comprehensive briefing from our ranger-guide on the essential guidelines for gorilla trekking.
Then, we'll venture into the stunning rainforest, navigating the dramatic, steeply forested landscape and dense foliage, following animal trails that allow access to tourists. The trek's duration (4-8 hours) and terrain will depend on the movements of these magnificent primates. Once we locate a gorilla group, we'll spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants.
After our thrilling adventure, we'll return to our accommodation to rest and relax. If we finish early and you're up for more, we can arrange an optional community visit or a short nature walk along a forest trail (at an additional cost).
Begin your day with an early morning breakfast and head out for a leisurely boat cruise or canoe trekking adventure to explore the picturesque islands of Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda's most beautiful lake, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and 29 stunning islands.
Afterward, transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, stopping en route at the historic Rocky site near Kyenjojo town, a sacred place where people pay homage to the Uganda martyrs, with names etched on the rocks. Finally, arrive at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House, your cozy overnight retreat.
On the 4th day of this Uganda safari package, we’ll experience an immersive chimpanzee habituation adventure that spans the entire day. Begin with an early breakfast, then head to the forest, arriving at the briefing point by 6:30 am.
Witness the chimpanzees emerging from their nests and spend the day observing these fascinating creatures up close. Be on the Lookout for baboons, black & white colobus, red-tailed monkey or the grey cheeked mangabey, and different bird species.
Enjoy this comprehensive, whole-day experience, and unwind overnight at the Chimpanzee Forest Guest House.
